Jeff Potter, Partner

Jeff has twenty years of experience on both the payer and provider side of health care.

At Fresenius Medical Care of North America, the nation’s largest dialysis company, Jeff helped to establish a risk products division to assume responsibility for the care of ESRD patients.  Previously, Jeff co-founded MedSpring Urgent Care, growing it into multiple markets before its acquisition by Fresenius.

In 2002, Jeff worked on the successful LBO of WellCare Health Plans, and an add-on acquisition and IPO (NYSE: WCG) over the subsequent twenty months.  Jeff’s other responsibilities included, investor relations and government affairs efforts. Prior to joining WellCare, Jeff worked in a physician referral business and as a financial advisor. Jeff earned his AB at Princeton University.

Nagi Rao, Partner

Nagi is a prolific entrepreneur and a leader in the use of technology to generate financial value in companies.

He is currently one of three Founding Partners at the Austin, TX based healthcare investment firm – Pilot Wall Group. He currently serves on six Boards and Advisory Boards of small to mid-size healthcare companies including as Executive Chairman of EqualizeRCM, a Revenue Cycle Management company he co-founded. He has previously played a significant role in the founding of ACO management (Integrated ACO acquired by Evolent), hospital management (NewLight Healthcare) and Urgent Care companies (MedSpring acquired by Fresenius) and served on the Boards of, among others, Integrated ACO, Anue Systems (acquired by Ixia) and Global Neuro Diagnostics (acquired by Natus). Formerly a Partner at McKinsey & Co. Nagi worked with clients across a number of industries and geographies, with a focus on technology disruption and strategy.

Before and after his time at McKinsey, Nagi launched three successful technology startups – CMR Technologies (acquired by HP), Telecom Technologies (acquired by Sonus Networks) and Surgient Networks (acquired by Qwest Software). Nagi holds an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University.

Heath Schiesser, Partner

Heath’s experience ranges from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises across both the payor and provider sectors.

Heath led Fresenius Medical Care North America’s Integrated Care group which included the company’s lab, pharmacy, urgent care, and risk products divisions.   He joined Fresenius in 2014 when it acquired MedSpring Urgent Care, which he co-founded.

Previously, Heath served as President and CEO of WellCare (NYSE: WCG) where he successfully led the company through the resolution of significant compliance and financial challenges.  Earlier, he worked as president of the prescription insurance division and SVP of sales and marketing at the company.  Prior to joining the WellCare LBO team, Heath worked at McKinsey & Company, co-founded and sold an online pharmacy, and worked in the development of new ventures.  Heath earned his Bachelors’ at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
